It is essential that digestarom is constantly used in the feed especially during hot spells so as to to maximise dry matter intake leading to more efficient milk production. Particularly feasible in the Total Mixed Ration (TMR) is the digestibility enhancer, digestarom. A high degree of homogeneity in the TMR is essential for optimal effect. Therefore, digestarom is often incorporated into the mineral feed formulation. The amount of digestarom in mineral feed is calculated, for example, at an inclusion ratio of 150 g per 2 g digestarom mineral feed per livestock unit and day. According to present knowledge the said amount of digestarom is the optimal dosage.
